1. About Eqify

Eqify is a VAT tracking tool operated by Eqify Ltd. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Not financial or tax advice

Eqify is a software tool designed to help you track and categorise VAT-related transactions. It does not constitute financial, tax, legal, or accounting advice. VAT categorisations provided by Eqify are estimates based on transaction data and should not be relied upon as definitive.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your VAT returns. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified accountant or tax adviser for your VAT obligations.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a UK-based business owner or authorised representative to use Eqify.

4. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

5. Subscription and billing

• Eqify offers a 14-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial.
• After the trial, your subscription will automatically renew monthly at the current price unless cancelled.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your profile. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

6. Open Banking

Bank connections are provided via TrueLayer, an FCA-authorised Account Information Service Provider (AISP). By connecting your bank, you consent to TrueLayer sharing your transaction data with Eqify in accordance with their terms.

You can disconnect your bank at any time. Eqify is not responsible for any issues arising from TrueLayer's service or your bank's Open Banking implementation.

7. Accuracy and limitations

While we strive for accuracy, Eqify's VAT categorisations are automated estimates. They may not always be correct. You should review all categorisations before relying on them for any VAT return or financial decision.

Eqify is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of VAT calculations.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eqify Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to incorrect VAT categorisations, missed VAT deadlines, or penalties from HMRC.

9. Data and privacy

Your use of Eqify is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

10. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your profile. This will cancel your subscription and permanently remove your data within 30 days.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the service.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
